About this job
Microsoft is hiring a Software Engineer II in Hyderabad (3 days a week in office) for the Windows + Devices Fundamentals team. The team improves reliability, performance and battery life on Windows devices by studying telemetry and debugging across hardware, firmware, OS and apps.
Eligibility
- Bachelor's in Computer Science or similar with 4+ years of software engineering in C, C++, C#, Java or Python, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years in debugging, performance engineering or systems work
- Windows internals, ETW tracing or power optimisation is a plus
Skills required
What you will do
- Analyse telemetry and trace data to understand device behaviour at scale
- Debug system issues with low-level tools like WinDbg and WPA
- Design and build well-scoped performance and reliability improvements
- Work with OEMs and hardware partners to ship fixes
